Kevin Almodovar's passion for technology began in 1983, leading him to join the United States Air Force after high school, where he trained as an Avionics Systems Electronics Technician. The discipline, precision, and technical mindset developed during his military service continue to influence his approach on every production today.
After returning to Florida, Kevin spent several years building and repairing computer systems before discovering a new passion behind the camera. In 2006, he purchased his first video camera and immersed himself in the study of cinematography and, most importantly, lighting. What began as a fascination quickly evolved into a career dedicated to crafting beautiful, intentional imagery through the art of Grip & Electric.
Over nearly two decades, Kevin has worked on productions ranging from commercials and branded content to documentaries, narrative films, and broadcast projects. His experience as a producer, director of photography, and cinematographer gives him a deep understanding of how lighting supports both storytelling and production efficiency.
Today, Kevin specializes mainly in Grip & Electric services, bringing a calm, collaborative approach and a strong technical foundation to every set. Whether working with a small commercial crew or supporting large-scale productions, his focus remains the same: creating cinematic lighting, solving problems before they become obstacles, and helping every department succeed.
His work has supported productions for nationally recognized brands including Oakley, Jockey, Meta (Facebook), Chipotle, FedEx, and the United States Air Force.
